  1. When you were in grade school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A superstar!

  1.  If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?

I’d love to do trapeze but realistically probably a clown:)

  1. What 3 things would you take with you on a deserted island, and why?

Chap stick because I’m addicted. A knife and pot to survive!

  1. What is the best dessert you’ve ever had?

My mom’s chocolate meringue pie is amazing❤️

  1. If you had a warning label, what would yours say? “Warning” sharp twerks ahead! Lol
  2.  Where is a place you haven’t traveled but would really like to visit?

Ireland or Italy

  1. When did you start CrossFit?

Just like Josh my first time was on Valentine’s 2015. Went sometimes with Jordan and Nicole to East Louisville, then went 3x/wk for the park WODs, joined bluegrass then Four Barrell East when they opened!

  1. What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?

The variety, support from coaches, and the community!

  1.  Why did you choose to join Four Barrel CrossFit?

I fell in love with the coaches and made friends during the park WODs❤️

  1.  What do you enjoy most about Four Barrel CrossFit?

The programming, coaches, and community!

  1. Do you have a favorite WOD or movement?

Clean, Russian twist!

  1. What are two of your biggest challenges and rewards in coming to the gym?

It’s hard to juggle work and the kids and get us both to the gym at least 3x/week but the reward is getting better and feeling great!

  1. What is one of your goals for this year in CrossFit?

Get double-unders and be more comfortable with OH squats

  1. Besides CrossFit, what else do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Running, hiking, and just hanging out with the family!

  1. If you were handed free opera tickets would you go or sell them?  Why?

Sell!!! Ugh, boring! I hate any type of concerts and plays unless there is dancing like Beyoncé or Gaga!

  1. If you were given 24 hours to live, what would you do?

Spend time with friends and family❤️

  1. What is your occupation?

I’m an outside sales representative for the Roofing Supply Group (RSG).  I sell building materials for residential steep slope and commercial low slope roofing, specializing in metal roofing and wall panel systems.  I deal primarily with roofing contractors and construction companies as well as the occasional home owner.

  1. When you were in grade school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Marine Biologist

  1. If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?

Hmmm… This is a good one… probably a clown… At least I think I’m funny.

  1. What 3 things would you take with you on a deserted island, and why?

I’m a bit of survival fanatic, so a Machete, a pot, and a fire starter.

  1. What is the best dessert you’ve ever had?

Anything Julie or my mother-in-law make, everything is ridiculously delicious!  Most recently though I would say Julie’s homemade 2 tier strawberry cake with homemade strawberry buttercream icing and my mother-in-law’s homemade coconut cream pie!

  1. If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

*** WARNING ***  Often speaks before thinking!

  1. Where is a place you haven’t traveled but would really like to visit?

Florence, Italy

  1. When did you start CrossFit?

February 14th, 2015.  Was a free Holiday workout for Valentine’s Day at Louisville East CrossFit with Jordan, Nicole, and Julie.  It took quite a bit of convincing because I was still considered myself very out of shape and was intimidated.

  1. What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?

I enjoy a different WOD every day, and the community.  It keeps things interesting and varies my routine to where I’m working different muscle groups constantly.  I hated the mindlessness of the regular gym.  I’d put in my ear buds, run, and hit various machines and would never remember what I worked the previous day or even speak to another human..

  1.  Why did you choose to join Four Barrel CrossFit?

A customer of mine is a member at New Albany and he was very convincing as to what 4B was all about.  Not long after that Julie started doing the park WOD’s throughout the week while I stayed home with the kids.  I saw how excited and motivated she was to keep going each day it was offered and I started incorporating in the Saturday workout with the group.  That Lean X type program was very exciting.

  1.  What do you enjoy most about Four Barrel CrossFit?

The community.  From Day one, 4B just felt like home to us.  Everyone is so accepting, encouraging, and friendly.  The coaches are far better than anywhere else.  They are attentive to even the smallest quirks that can make a difference in your performance and safety.

  1. Do you have a favorite WOD or movement?

Now that I can perform kipping pull ups, they are quickly becoming a favorite.

  1. What are two of your biggest challenges and rewards in coming to the gym?

Challenges…  My mobility was horrible, and is a constant work in progress.  After 4 months of work I now have a front rack which has led to the reward of being able to perform almost all of our lifting movements with much less arm fatigue.

  1. What is one of your goals for this year in CrossFit?

The Double Under… my nemesis!  I would like to accomplish enough overall improvement in ’16 to be able to do the ’17 Open Rx.

  1. Besides CrossFit, what else do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy running, especially trail running.  I also enjoy spending time with the wife and boys, hiking, fishing, going to/watching games (Cards, Reds, & Colts are our teams), and I enjoy fantasy football with my league mates.

  1. If you were handed free opera tickets would you go or sell them?  Why?

SELL, BORING…  Unless Julie wanted to go… Then I would complain a little bit, then go for her but make sure she knows she owes me.

  1. If you were given 24 hours to live, what would you do?

As much as I would like to just say I’d go out and do all of the crazy stuff of the world, because hey… I have nothing to lose, right?!  I would much rather just spend that time I have left with the people who I love.
